Things I learned on New Year's Eve, 2005:

• If you're already on the TSA's No Fly List, avoid doing anything funky when booking air travel. For example, do not have someone else buy your ticket, do not buy one-way tickets, etc.
• The Las Vegas airport has a layout almost identical to that of the Seattle airport (except the former has slot machines and the latter has many coffee shops).
• Southwest Airlines serves booze for free on New Year's Eve.
